Video: Cyhi Da Prince - Chance to Explain

By now you know I'm a fan of CyHi. I wasn't too thrilled by his Royal Flush 2 mixtape though he does have a few nice joints on there. This is off the first Royal Flush mixtape and it's one of my favorites. It's definitely the most lyrical track on that mixtape in my opinion, he drops a lot of lil jewels in this joint. This is one of the tracks I tell people to listen to when they ask me why I like this guy, lol.

Another joint off CyHi's Royal Flush mixtape which if you haven't listened to by now, you should.

The intro to the video is a bit too long and a bit overdone, but I understand why he did it considering the MLK intro to the song. He's got some serious imagery going on in the video which I can appreciate. It's also imagery that might jar up some feelings of anger and/or inspiration in black folks serving as a reminder of how far we had to come to get to where we are. But more importantly, hopefully it serves as a reminder that we still have a ways to go.

This is off of Cyhi's Royal Flush mixtape which I like a lot. The mixtape is put together really well for a newcomer. He's signed to Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music label and had a guest verse on "I'm So Appalled" so I guess we can expect him to be on the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation as well.
