One Celebrity Look-A-Like I Obviously Missed

By now you've run across a blogpost (or two) where I vent about all the celebrities that people have told me I look like. Here's the quick list:
  • Swizz Beatz
  • Grant Hill
  • Joe Budden
These are the three most common. Most times when people say, "You look like somebody" I tell them I always get compliments that I look like Boris Kodjoe. And bellowing laughter ensues. I don't understand why it's THAT funny.

Moving on though...I've even been told once before that I look like Darryl M. Bell aka Ron Johnson from a Different World (like Cree Summers). That my friends, was an all-time low! Not that the "Ron" is even a bad-looking guy. It's just that Ron Johnson pops into someone's head when they see me! RON JOHNSON! Do you remember how long ago that show was and his character on the show? That's like telling someone, "You look like Cockroach from the Cosby Show". What do you say to that? Thanks???

To be honest, the Swizz comparisons have become so regular that I don't even think about it anymore, I just accept it. I can now count on two hands how many times I've been walking into (or out of) a club and someone yells Swizz! Especially in Miami. But I guess I can't argue that when I grow a full beard, I look like Swizz...

This was such an unfortunate picture to agree in hindsight, but whatever (LOL).

This is pretty much a dead-ringer, I'll admit.

I truly believe that the Joe Budden comparisons are just a result of me being light-skindeded. And when I have a low haircut my big-azz ears poke out like Grant Hill's so I'll accept the comparisons to Grant.

There's one other celebrity I have been told I look like on only two occasions. Mike Epps...

I can't see it. What about you guys? I've been told by my homegirl that I act like Mike Epps (though she said it a while ago), but I am not sure if that's a compliment or not. LOL. But I was told again yesterday that I look like Mike Epps and I figure I should post some pics and see what everybody thinks. You make the call!

I know killers need to be comfortable, but d@mn

Meet William Torres of Allentown, Australia. Mr. Torres is an alleged drug dealer and murderer. A co-worker sent me a link to an article describing Mr. Torress alleged illegal activities. I say alleged because you're supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. Then again, he is in Australia, so maybe those rules don't apply.

Obviously, I found this hilarious because this guy got picked up by the cops wearing some big-azz lion slippers. What's even funnier to me is that he was driving when the police caught him in the outfit seen above. My question(s) are...
  1. Where was he driving to? How many places are you going to go to dressed like this?
  2. Why does he have on a hoodie and SHORTS? I've never really understood this fashion choice so much.
  3. Knowing you do illegal activities and that you might have to run from the cops, why would you wear this type of footwear?
I couldn't resist doing a post once I saw this guy's slippers. Now I have to go and get some Simba Lion King joints. LOL.

And in keeping with the theme of completely random and funny stuff, check out this craigslist posting for a "vagina couch" (may not be safe for work).

"For Sale - beautiful pink 'vagina couch' that I made in art school and no longer have space for. The couch is large: measures 5' 3" long, 3' 3" wide at the middle, and stands 2' 3" tall (and is heavy like a couch)...the couch has some scuffmarks and stains around the bottom...but otherwise is in excellent shape....I am asking for $600 and a loving home!"
I don't know why anyone would want to make or buy a vagina so big they could sit in it. Just seems like an anatomical waste of time. "Like throwing a hot dog down a hallway."

Colin Munroe stole remixed Kanye's Flashing Lights

Welcome to the InterWeb Revolution everyone. It was one thing when music singles got leaked to the InterWeb. Then albums. Then movies. Now any-and-everything can become a YouTube internet phenomenon.

But now you've got an artist (Kanye) who makes a hot song and before he can even release his video for the song, another artist (Colin Munroe) has made a remixed version of the song and posted it on YouTube. Actually, I had never even heard of Colin Munroe prior to watching this video so I am not sure if he's has any musical work that was released prior to this. What I do know is that this version of Flashing Lights is pretty decent and I like the video. Knowing Kanye Tuda, even though he was shooting a video for the song as recently as two weeks ago, he'll probably get a look at this video and go back and revamp his video for the original version. We all know how Kanye gets about his videos.

Nevertheless, I found it amusing that someone beat Kanye to the punch on the video for this song and it wasn't some shiddy low-budget video somebody shot at home with their camcorder. This video might end up being better than Kanye's version, although I doubt it.

Check it out for yourself.

Colin Munroe - I Want Those Flashing Lights

And can't you see Kanye in this exact same outfit running around in the video? Don't lie to yourself people, you know you can!

We showing you the good, the bad, the ugly

My favorite Consequence song. This song was on his CD, Don't Quit Your Day Job, but it's actually pretty old.

4 Seasons of The WIRE in 4 minutes

My favorite TV show. All seasons recapped pretty well in roughly 4 minutes.

Props to Eskay for posting this on his site. After I saw it, I had to share.

My playlist this morning

Back-to-back-to-back, on repeat. These three songs.

Michael Jackson - I Wanna Be Where You Are

Rick Ross (feat. Kellz and Chris Breezy) - Speedin' Remix

Game (feat. Juice) - We Rollin'

I have to confess though that I do have a playlist in iTunes of music that just puts me in a good mood and these three are on that list. Not that I need a reason to be in a good mood this morning because I am pretty excited (going on vacation in roughly 60 hours). But I haven't stopped listening to these three songs (yet). I am thinking this is going to be one of those days where I don't take my headphones off. SCHWEET!

Feeling Posh on Friday

This past Friday my buddies and I went to POSH in DC to celebrate my W.G.'s birthday. POSH is a relatively new, swank, supper club. Think lounge, restaurant, and club all-in-one. It's a pretty nice spot.

Most of you that know me, know that I grew up with 5 guys from the 4th grade that I'm still tight with. There are a couple other guys that grew up with us that we're tight with, but the 5 of us are the tightest. So whenever one of our birthdays comes around we tend to plan a dinner, club night, trip out of town, or something else we all agree would be fun to do as a celebration. W.G.'s bday is the first out of all of us each year and this year we decided last-minute to kick it at POSH Friday night. And boy oh boy did we have fun.

A few pictures from the night are below. I think we were all pretty well-smashed (except Bay, who does not drink) that night, but we all had a great time and everybody made it home safely.

Everybody except me. So it shouldn't be hard to figure out who took the picture.

I had to get in at least one of these group shots.

Jon & Prince

Not sure what they're laughing at but since they're always cracking jokes, it's anybody's guess.

My favorite shot of us from that night.

Moi

The birthday boy, W.G.! I believe Remy & Cranberry was the drink of choice.
