I've been gone but I'm back like I left something. I wanted to post this Nas joint a week or so ago but I've been in-and-out of town so I'm just getting around to it. This song is dope!
I'm going to add you on to this post that LJ and I was going back and forth on. Pre the video. But yeah the song is real talk, real life. A pill hard to swallow. But its extra real that he was able to just put himself on display like that, show his human mistakes. Age and marital status make a difference when it comes to raising kids, no matter what someone tells you.
you are so right and I commend Nas for sharing his life story with us. I read the book that his baby moms wrote and I don't know if she thought she was putting him down but it turned me on to his lifestyle even more...We have watched him grow from a knucklehead into a man. I feel that he is one of a few artist that can deliver a great product every time and I take my hat off to this brother.
Thanks for the g+ add. I put you in my Hip-Hop Headz group. I haven't read Carmen's book but after your comment it sounds like it would be a less damaging book than I originally thought.
We actually have watched him go though a lot and he kind of put it all out there for us too. I've always appeciated his realness.
