There's nothing like your first time

in Vegas!

At least that's what I have been told. Fortunately, I'll be finding out soon enough.

I'll be headed out to Nevada late next week and I've already got a list of stuff I've been told I should check out but I'm wondering if any of you have anything that's not on my list below that you would suggest. And it doesn't have to be a club or a casino (though those are completely fine), just anything that's interesting. Some show suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  • Palms Hotel
  • The Wynn
  • Hard Rock Cafe
  • New York New York
  • Caesars Palace
  • Pepper Mill
  • Rum Jungle
  • Margarittaville
  • 40/40 Club
  • Pure
  • Tao
  • Poetri
  • Cirque du Soleil
  • Spearmint Rhino
  • Tryst
  • Mandalay Bay
  • The Venetian
  • Lofle Tower
  • Stratosphere
  • Water show at the Bellagio
  • The Rio
  • The Wax Museum
I'm sure there are tons more things to do so please let me know if you of anything. I don't expect to do everything there is to do but it's good to have a running list for the second, third, etc. trip out the Vegas.

Also, if you're going to be in Vegas the weekend after next, drop me a line!

PS - I'll be there with my homeboy Woo so all the romantic suggestions... Thanks but no thanks, LOL.

The buffet is the Wynn... is the bizness... whew... good eating fo real

there is another buffet that is really good too... I think in the princess or something like that... all the way on the other end of the strip left of the airport...

but besides partying and gambling... the best part of vegas is the buffets... hmmmm

WOW, we must be on the same page, I just came back yesterday from Vegas and I popped my cherry too....

Okay, I stayed at the Venetian.....OMG! The bomb hotel, tons of shops, the gondolas, great restaurants, TAO nightclub and beachclub pool is crazy fun.

PURE - is the bizness
The Wynn - will be staying next time I go.
NY, NY - didn't visit, but seemed nice.
Margaritaville - gawker city, that's where everyone congregates as soon as the sun sets to watch everyone else.
CIRQUE du SOLEIL - didn't make it, heard it was nice, but saw tons of seniors going so I decided to skip it.
The 40/40 is in the Palazzo, next to the Venetian, wasn't really jumping the night I went. A lot of older white sugar daddies with young girls, the casino was more jumpin.
Mandalay Bay - kind of quiet during the day, real nice at night.
Bellagio - another sugar daddy spot, but beautiful
Stratosphere looked run-down and the prostitutes circle that joint during the day. The Golden Nugget turned out to be the best casino on the old strip, which is a good fifteen minute drive from the new part of the strip. If you don't have a rental car, I would skip it, cabs are expensive there and the bus comes like once an hour.
The Wax Museum is $25, truthfully only worth about $15, but the Scream exhibit is worth a few thrills.

Best Casinos to win money: Golden Nugget, Hooters (they will give you free show tickets and $100 slot money if you get a casino card)
The Venetian has a great bar in the casino with live music, and it is poppin at like 2-3 in the morning. Oh and there sports/horse betting spot is second to none, if you like that kind of thing.
I didn't make it to the Palms, but when I go back, fuggetaboutit.
I heard that Wayne Brady's show is worth checking out, ticks are pricey though.
Didn't go in Poetri, but boy was it jumpin. If you are going to be there on the 31st, go to House of Blues, check out Mos Def.

Oh, it is HOT as HELL and two purgatories right now. I was super glad we rented a car, because we hit up a ton of spots on the strip, old strip and around Vegas (the Outlet Mall had great cheap buys and cheap eats.)

Be careful with the buffets, etc. They can get real pricey. Hooters has $.25 wings after midnight and a lot of spots offer free drinks before midnight.
Mandalay Bay, Trump, Caesar's and MGM are the big celeb spots.
