Tuesday Morning Laughs

Every once in a while I forget Shaq used to rap. Then he gives me the pleasure of reminding me...

I couldn't resist posting this if not for the "Kobe, how does my azz taste" line it had to be the "Kobe ratted me out, that's why I'm getting a divorce" line. And even though it's kinda lame for Shaq to still take shots at Kobe, you gotta laugh at this guy getting up there actually freestyling (or at least playing it off really well) and crackin' on Kobe. Shaq's a pretty funny guy in general so it's no surprise that he pulled this and he probably tickled the hell out of himself.

Naturally, Shaq denied this being a diss at all, which makes it even more comical.

Kind of lame??? This is straight cheeseball right here. Clearly Shaq is a bit miffed that his addition to the Suns had him tasting that spot on the bottom of Kobe's shoe when the Lakers beat that azz before heading to the finals. Kobe may not have gotten the trophy but at least he got to play for it.

Shaq was lame and ridiculous back in the day when he was trying to rap with the Fu-Schnickens, and basically nothing has changed. I'll give him a 5 for originality and humor, but that's about it.

Oh and the divorce comment...I won't say what I want to say, but I'll just say that is real Johnny Gillish!

I say kind of lame because as a dguy, I understand how you never expect someone to roll on you (like Kobe did on Shaq) when you aren't even involved in a situation.

Kobe got caught cheating and for absolutely no reason (other than hate/spite/whataever) snitched on Shaq. It's the same thing that happens in the hood everyday that people get their brains blown out for. Seriously. So at least they're both rich enough to not try and hurt/kill one-another. I would have said mature enough but both of these guys have lapses in maturity.

Anyway, I think the Shaq vs Kobe thing has been a dead issue for a minute so it's kind of lame for Shaq to do this, but not 100% lame because when a dude is a straight punk and snitches on you for no reason, it's hard for a guy to really let that go. Maybe it's a guy/pride thing or something immature to a lot of people, but I can understand why Shaq would still at least think about Kobe in this way. But saying it in a public forum was not the way to go.

In general though, I think Shaq is probably one of the 5 most entertaining and interesting athletes of his generation. And it all seems natural which is far more than I can say for Bean Bryant.

I kind of have a problem with that assumption. Maybe it's the would-be lawyer in me, but Kobe didn't snitch. A personal and private conversation he had with his lawyer was eavesdropped and aired. He made the comment about Shaq to his lawyer in frustration, unfortunately, it got out fast. But, he did not walk in the station and flat out tell the police Shaq pays off his women. Not that I am an advocate for Kobe or his dumb slip-up with that hotel hoochie, but I am no fan of Shaq either. They're both cheeseballs if you ask me, although Kobe has more left in his tank, way more than Shaq. Good points though.

@E: Kobe ain't got it in him to say anything in a diss. Maybe in an interview. He might be slick and try to bust out some wack-azz Italian rap just because he is a dwyck like that.

@Nubian: I don't think my assumption matters. Even if you're having a "person and private" conversation about you budd-fuggin a white chick when your azz is married, what does that have to do with the (cost of trading Shaq out of LA) fact that Shaq pro-bab-lee cheated on his money-hiding wife? I mean this was about Kobe and his mistake. Be a man and accept responsibility. Yeah you're frustrated, disappointed in yourself, and nervous because you know shyt is about to hit the fan, but why even mention Shaq? Oh, so you're not alone. It's a bytch move. I'm sure the police did not interrogate him about Shaq and his extra-marital affairs. Kobe volunteered that info.

Even if it's private and confidential there's no need for you to drag another man's name into it even if you KNOW for a fact he did it. It's just some bytchazzness to be honest. It's pretty much dry snitching.

From where I type, it appears you have an affinity for Kobe the player, moreso than Shaq the player. Which is okay. But to take that affinity for Kobe and stretch it this far is something I can't stand for. On the court Kobe is a BEAST. Off it, he's another word that begins with a "b".

@KaishaAdia: You named your dog after Shaq? So what did you have to name your pet gorilla (no LeBron on Vogue) after "Shaq" was already taken?

Oh, you are killing me softly with that one! I am absolutely NOT Kobe's #1 fan. But, if you want to talk about bytchazzness, then Shaq has a t-shirt too. I mean this happened what, four years ago?? Like Keisha and Missy said, LET IT GO!!! Wife money-hiding? LOLLLLLLLL! Explain that to me, because I still don't understand that one. She was putting money away because she knows that he has another family, but that's neither here nor there.

"But to take that affinity for Kobe and stretch it this far is something I can't stand for." What'chu gone do Cleatus??? Don't get mad because you have another man crush on Shaq....LOL!

It's cool though, I realize that this whole Kobe-Shaq thing goes into Man-Law territory, so we will probably always look at this different, but it is always nice to hear your male point of view.

I agree that Shaq is bringing up old news. That's why I was saying it's a dead issue.

"But to take that affinity for Kobe and stretch it this far is something I can't stand for." That was actually a joke I forgot to put the "LOL" behind.

And I agree that maybe this is a guy thing. It's just some things you don't do unless absolutely necessary and even then you sometimes can't do it. Kobe showed his true colors then and I guess we can say Shaq is showing his true colors now.

@Eb: I thought that was pretty hilarious as well. But it makes sense I guess.
