Yeah I've been keeping up with this involuntarily because of my bloglines account. Ross is playing himself by still denying it. LOL. It doesn't matter that he was a CO to me. That's fine. If he had a job before rapping, that's cool. I definitely didn't think he was a drug kingpin anyway.
But a couple days ago I started thinking that maybe HE leaked that info to create a buzz. Then I started thinking that he probably wasn't that smart and there's no album about to drop.
Then I started thinking that he is kinda lame for not just admitting it. If he admits it, learns to laugh at himself in the process, and moves forward with some dope music, no one will care.
But now I'm starting to think about it like this...Rick Ross has been selling us lies from the beginning. Perhaps he did sell drugs, but he was never a kingpin. Perhaps he does have money, cars, women, etc. but it's not as sweet as he makes it. But we didn't question it, we just took it as entertainment. Whatever, it's no big deal because we don't really believe that's your life anyway. But now that he has been caught and not admitted it, it's almost disrespectful to his fans in the sense that you are now exposed and we knew you was BSing the whole time but just took it as entertainment. But now you are insulting people's intelligence by trying to maintain that it's not true. For that, Rick Ross loses.
Imma still listen to his music because I like his music. But as a person he's obviously got some growing up to do.
