WTH was that...He need to get his mind right...see young dudes in the game about to get they A$$e$ handed to 'em cause they talking out the side of they neck..
who gives a flying fart in space about your first week #s if you ain't talking about shyt! Period!
yea, Hip hop is dead...their is no variety, no substance, no range of topics being discussed, no soul, no heart, no depth (escept for a few kanye, lupe, roots, common, mos def...you know the far and few between...oh and I will add Ludacris because he does seem to be talking about a variety of issues on his new album)
Young Jeez...Man get your mind out the money cloud and get your mind right...
Yeah, he was lunching. I think she just pulled his card and got him off his square. He definitely said some typical statements that rappers with no idea of the big picture would make.
And this Nas CD is perty mean-and-vicious! Jeezy might want to shut his track before he ends up back in the trap. You know, after the first week numbers come out.
I got both CDs and I can definitely say that Nas CD is better by a long-shot. But Jeezy's CD will still have its place in my collection and moments when I really want to hear it. Different CDs for different moments in life/time.
Hip Hop Ain't Dead, it's just not promoted. There are lots of grassroots type hip-hop artists out there like Mos, Common, Talib, Little Brother, Rhymefest, Murs, Lupe Fiasco. But out of all of them, only Lupe got a real buzz and the majority of that was internet hype.
Aside from all that, I think (after hearing the album) that NaS didn't mean all hip-hop was dead, he meant exactly what Monie and you said. Real hip-hop is dead. This new music is something he just doesn't consider hip-hop.
I got typos coming and going in that previous comment...
anyways...
Yea I feel you and your right it's not "dead" but it surely ain't promoted....
Im glad she got at him, and the thing is she actually wasn't even "coming at him" she was just trying to explain what she felt, how she could relate to what Nas said...it shows his "young" he is in the game...
