Unfortunately that second video looks a little familiar. I swear I have been in that situation in a work environment and have quickly exited stage left before everyone starts asking the "token black chic" how to do all the ghetto dances that most likely I don't have a clue how to do.
LOL. I have been in that predicament before. It makes me defensive and resentful. I enjoy the fact that they can tell I feel that way and that it makes them uncomfortable. But for the most part my co-workers don't treat me like a minstrel act in these types of situations and I'm thankful that I have co-workers that aren't afraid to openly discuss sensitive racial issues and be honest. As a Black man in a professional setting that is comprised of mostly non-Blacks, you always have your suspicions as to who is being genuine and who is just trying to put on a facade for the purpose of not looking racist or prejudiced. But I can honestly say that when it comes to the people I work with on a daily basis, I don't even have to think about it at all.
