WEB NERD ALERT: Google takes another step in plot of world takeover

Today, another step in Google's plot to takeover the world was taken. Google has purchased everybody's favorite online video repository, YouTube for $1.65 billion.

Yes, you read that right. $1.65 BILLION, not MILLION!

Man! I gotta make this psuedo-web-nerd shyt pay off! What's funny about this is that YouTube is NOT a profitable venture. They probably haven't even made a dime yet. I'm not sure if you all remember back around the year 200 when we had the dot-com bubble burst but YouTube is essentially the same type of company but their bubble just got a HELLUVA lot bigger! And now that it's been swallowed by InterWeb gigante, Google Inc., the company may burst, but it will now probably be viewed more as Google's inability to nurture and evolve the organization rather than a fledgling, unprofitable internet start-up that fell just like the rest 6 years ago.

So from here on, look for Google Video to take over YouTube as the leading provider of copyright-protected video content (LOL). I wonder how much they will have to restrict all the copywritten content on the site now that they're a part of Google who will undoubtedly have the a scrutinous eye hovered over them. We'll see how it plays out.

The InterWeb is SUCH a wondrous thing, isn't it? I've gotta either come up with some stupendous web-based idea or product. Or turn this bloggin' for F-R-E-E in to bloggin' for a F-E-E!
