Sunday afternoon randomness...

1. BLOG UPDATE: Got bored after I came back from the laundrymat and decided to add a little image-based flair to the blog. As you probably have already noticed, there's a littany of scrolling pictures at the top of the blog now. I only have 20 displaying right now, but I may up that to 50 soon (LOL). I don't want the blog to load really slow though so I might just display 20 at a time. I hope you guys enjoy this addition

2. DJ Drama's Gangsta Grillz CDs:

Why is that every Gangsta Grillz mixtape I have bought ROCKS! Case(s) in point: 1) Lil Wayne - Dedication, 2) Little Brother - Separate But Equal, and NOW 3) Young Dro - Day One. All mix CDs worth coppin'! By the way, DJ Drama is TIP's DJ, part of Grand Hustle (TIP's label) and the Apphiliates. This dude has yet to let me down. Click here for a link to a BUNCH of his mixtapes. Most of these are probably FIRE!

3. Ricky Ross's CD, Port of Miami:

I got this joint (not from the store tho). Shot out to my supplier, you know who you is SON! The album, well...As I thought, this is Miami's version of Young Jeezy. So I'll probably be able to listen to this album for it's street-talk and production, but just like Jeezy, his lyrics aren't all that. Overall, I can't say I would recommend this joint unless you just want some new music to listen to. The production is decent, his content is all dope/snow/white talk (fyi - white is going to be the new drug term...My street cred just went up...chyeah!). He'll probably sell a million. Just in case any of you guys were wondering, Rick Ross seems to know a lot about drug-dealing. Still trying to decide whether I wanna spill this joint or not...Maybe????

3. CAR maintenance:

Man, man, man. Word to the wise from the less wise. If you buy a nice car, make sure you are gonna have the money to keep up with the regular maintenance a car requires (i.e. - brakes, oil change, tune-up, timing belt, tire rotations & balancing, and of course, carwashes). I've got to get some serious brake work done to my car and it could not have come at a time much worse than this. This is what I get for procrastinating for like 4 months on this shyt. Sometimes you gotta drop that dough, right? Dahwell! Oh yeah, that's NOT MY JOINT in that picture above. But it look good don't it?!

I feel you on the car maintenance. Even if it's not true, it just feels like the regular stuff (oil change, car wash) cost a whole lot more. And your vanity doesn't help either, every 'maybe' scratch has to be addressed immediately... and don't get me started on tires.

yeah. I think you probably have the same issue with car maintenance as I do. Parts are expensive on certain types of cars.

Well I guess I am the ONLY one, that has been fortunate enough to have a FORD, the parts aren't that expensive and neither is the maintenance...(knock on wood) so far....

In terms of #3 Rick Ross...there was a review on him today in the "Express" Post: "....'Port of Miami', a debut album that's an unapologetic celebration of his experiences in the cocaine trade, and similarly amoral ode to bling...'Port'lumbers from start to finish with unstoppable momentum of Frankenstien's monster. And the same simplemindedness, too...Ross is an oversized personality masquerading as an emcee; each arresting couplet about the dark side of sunny Florida is offset by a half-dozen stanzas of hoarsly rhymed nonsense. At least he has a job waiting for him when his hop-hop run is over"..

I was reading that on the train like man that's TOUGH...

In my humble opinion, the words "fortunate" and "Ford" should never be put together in the same sentence. EVER! I've owened a Ford Taurus before. Piece of crap. My Lincoln now is a "glorified" Ford. I doubt I'll ever by American again. Thanks Henry!

I'm glad you've had a better experience with your Ford than me. That Taurus man...

As for Ross joint. I would say I agree with most of that review. But the music behind the wack content is pretty decent. Like I said, you can "listen" to it if you don't pay too much attention to what he's saying (ie - Young Jeezy).

But I am quoting the dude at the top of my blog so I can't really shyt on him too much, right? LMAO!

I should also say I'm a former Ford owner, having pushed the Mercury Mountaineer until it died. Wonderful vehicle. I loved it to death, but I had the same problem with that ride and I do with my current one. Ask me, just ASK me, how much a bumper is. Geez! Let me just say I got a Benz engine rebuilt for less.

Imma leave that Rick Ross alone. I'll be 180 degrees away from that 'hustla' at ALL times. Thanks.

I can also say that I can ride the wheels of a FORD truck until the fall off...now a car, maybe not, but my FORD trucks, have thus far really been built FORD TOUGH...LOL

Tiff, you have a good point. For trucks probably are of better quality.
